Verb Conjugations (Present Tense - Imperfective)
Imperfective verbs describe actions that are ongoing, repeated, or not completed. In the present tense, Czech verbs follow various conjugation patterns based on their stem and infinitive ending.
-u conjugation: Includes verbs like dělat (to do), číst (to read). Endings: -u, -eš, -e, -eme, -ete, -ou.
- Example: dělat -> Já dělám (I do/am doing), Ty děláš (You do/are doing), On/Ona/Ono dělá (He/She/It does/is doing), My děláme (We do/are doing), Vy děláte (You do/are doing), Oni/Ony/Ona dělají (They do/are doing).
-ím conjugation: Includes verbs like mluvit (to speak), vidět (to see). Endings: -ím, -íš, -í, -íme, -íte, -í or -ějí.
- Example: mluvit -> Já mluvím (I speak/am speaking), Ty mluvíš (You speak/are speaking), On/Ona/Ono mluví (He/She/It speaks/is speaking), My mluvíme (We speak/are speaking), Vy mluvíte (You speak/are speaking), Oni/Ony/Ona mluví (They speak/are speaking).
