The Future Tense
To express actions that will happen in the future using imperfective verbs, you typically form it by combining the future tense of the verb być ('to be') with the infinitive of the main verb. For perfective verbs, you use the simple future tense form (one word).
- Compound Future ('być' + Infinitive - for imperfective verbs): budu, budźeš, budźe, budźemaj, budźetaj, budźetej, budźemy, budźeće, budu + Infinitive
- Simple Future (for perfective verbs): Formed using the present tense stem of the perfective verb.
- Examples (Compound Future - imperfective): Ja budu čitać knihu (I will read a book). Ty budźeš rěčeć z nim (You will talk with him). Wona budźe dźěłać jutře (She will work tomorrow). Mydwě budźemaj pisać (We two will write). Woni budu hladać film (They will watch a film).
- Examples (Simple Future - perfective): Ja přečitam__ knihu (I will read a book). Ty powěš mu (You will tell him). Wona __čini** to (She will do it).
